Superbeast

You pray so hard on bloody knees

I don't actually own this comic (these things are bastards to buy, I only own Angel with the scabbed wings because Lisa bought it me for my birthday), I read it online as a part of my daily Vergil fix. His introduction to Dante is explosive. Dante enters a room, looks at the mirror which Nelo Angelo storms out of and they both go flying out of window attacking each other. Like the game -- Dante is about to lose the fight, and in the struggle, the amulet comes into view -- I like what happens a lot more comparing to that what happens in the game. In the comic, he almost cries out for his mother, and this causes him to retreat. He runs off to mope somewhere in the castle. While he does this, he, out loud, asks his mother for forgiveness. I would kill to see this stuff in the game. It is very interesting -- Nelo Angelo is a big tough guy in the comics, but because he has to fight Dante for his master, he asks their mother for forgiveness -- very touching and quite sad.

The title "Superbeast" is a song by Rob Zombie (fucking awesome, I might add). It is on his Hellbilly Deluxe album.

Angel With the Scabbed Wings

Is what he is, he does what he please

He talks too much in the comic book, I feel like I want to strangle him. Nelo Angelo is actually quite handsome in the comic book if I do say so myself, yeah, freak out and scream at me. The comic itself starts off with Dante having a nightmare. He is a child and he is getting his ass kicked by his older brother on his birthday. Vergil tells his little brother, that since it's his birthday, he'll let him win for a change. Dante wakes up angrily and nearly strangles Trish. Griffon (one of Mundus champions and is jealous of Nelo Angelo) later attacks Dante, and tells Dante that he will soon "give in to the darkside like your--" before he was cut off by Dante killing him. Nelo has been known to be Mundus' favourite, his adopted son, and his most loyal soldier. Dante fights Nelo Angelo for the third time, and we get a confirmed kill. Nelo Angelo's amulet falls from around his neck, and Dante realises he's killed his brother. Trish waltzes in takes advantage of the state Dante's in and knocks him unconcious. Of course, that was the cliff hanger and none of this was in the games.

I have read a lot of reviews about these series of comic books. A lot state how terrible the artwork of these are. I can't agree with them. The artwork is great, I like how they drew Trish's ass I think they've done a great job!

"Angel with the scabbed wings" is a Marilyn Manson song, as a fan of his, I noticed. Thought that was quite cool.
